A brief look on past:
Lamborghini one of the most elite car manufacturer is named after the founder of the company Ferruccio Lamborghini ( 1916-1993 ). Ferruccio Lamborghini established the top tier car maker in 1963 when he was 47 years old. Ferruccio Lamborghini was a lucrative tractor maker before he got curious about sports cars.
His curiosity about sports cars pushed him to grasp his hands on numerous high-performance hot sports cars of that medieval for instance both Maserati as well as Ferrari, however, he was actually never that much delighted with any of them thereby chose to craft his very own, ultra perfect sports car.
Lamborghini product range a hasty overview:
The 350 GTV although was the world’s very first Lambo. Soon after the completion of 350 GTV a successor was there named Lamborghini 400 GT. In 1966 Lamborghini Miura was presented in Geneva Motor Show. And so on and so forth Lamborghini added many new products to its inventory. Later on in 1967 a newer 4 seater variant of Lamborghini 400 GT was presented i.e. Lamborghini 400 GT 2+2. In the 68s Lamborghini presented another flagship named the Lamborghini Espada.
Soon after that Lamborghini Islero was introduced, it was a stylish, classical 2+2 coupe, actually it was simply the same thing as 400 GT, to keep it short Lamborghini Islero was a successor of Lamborghini 400 GT. Lamborghini Islero S was later introduced which was a iteration of Islero. Total 225 units were sold 100 Islero while Islero gained a bit more market and thus managed to hook up 125 deals.
The Lamborghini in the same year 1970 introduced a successor of Islero and it was Lamborghini Jarama followed by a newer version Lamborghini Jarama S.
he elite car maker needs something to make it root strong in the Auto mobile industry therefore Lamborghini introduced a whole new 2+2 sports car named after a fighting bull, Lamborghini Urraco was here. Lamborghini Urraco packed a V8 engine and unlike Miura and Espada it was much much cheaper.
The flagship Lamborghini Miura received a treat, its racing edition was born. Lamborghini Miura Jota got an amplified V12 engine cranked up to 440 hp which was around 90 hp more in contrast to the first Miura. Jota offered splendid performance on racing tracks, its new aluminium frame was light and was perfect to be on racing track. The Miura Jota’s acceleration was tremendous, 0-100 KM/h in just 3.6 seconds wow!. In 1971 a newer bro of Jota which was Jota SV was showcased at the Geneva Motor Show of that particular year. Alas! the legend got no attention.
Lamborghini was preparing a mega car which stayed most on production line. Meet the legend Lamborghini Countach, a 2 coupe sleek designed ultra high end sports car with vertically moving scissor doors for the very first time. Lamborghini went to the production line in 1974 and was there till 1990. Countach was incorporated with a V12 engine of 370 hp and received modifications in the forthcoming future. In 2004 Sports Car International magazine rated Countach in as rank 3 sports car of the 70s.
The Countach was bulk produced and around 2050 units were manufactured in 16 years. Lamborghini Countach was by all means a classical luxurious sports car, scissor doors, air-craft grade aluminium chassis, the under body was made up of fiber-glass. It was extremely light in weight yet extremely tough too. In the honor of the success attained by the Countach, Lamborghini in 1988 introduced a 25th anniversary Countach fueled by the 5167 cc V12 beasty engine. Another interesting thing happened in 1975 when a famous Canadian Businessman Walter Wolf asked Lamborghini to make a custom Countach on his demand that can fulfill his requirements as he was not impressed with then engine’s raw power. So Lamborghini built a Walter Wolf edition of the Countach with amplified engine power up to 447 hp and can achieve a max speed of 320 KM/h.
And soon after that Lamborghini brought up its very own SUV i.e. LM002. Lamborghini broadened the inventory with Murceilago, Diablo, Gallarado, Aventador, Huracan etc.
